The Sheer Brilliance of the Cotswold Larder...
Simple, fresh, local ingredients underpin our continually evolving menu
Our small team of talented chefs create deeply flavoursome dishes, with a focus on working with local suppliers to source sustainable produce while doing justice to the absolute brilliance of the Cotswold larder.
We are passionate about fresh, organic local produce, and our exciting menus see every single dish freshly prepared & cooked, making the wait entirely worthwhile.
As we use the very best of locally sourced ingredients. As such, our menus are subject to change pending their availability, so please do always bear this in mind.
Book a Table
The Mousetrap Inn restaurant is open daily. Our latest opening hours are shown on the Home page. Please note we keep an allocation of tables available for walk-ins on the day so do pop by and we will always try our best to accommodate you. However, we strongly recommended that you reserve a table in advance.
Reservations are planned & prepared for many days ahead of the actual booking date itself, both in terms of staff rotas and food purchasing and preparation. The restaurant's continued viability relies on reservations being honoured by our customers, and adequate notice being given of any changes or cancellations.
We politely request that all guests notify us of any reservation that they will be unable to honour. We would appreciate as much advance notice as possible.
Parties of 7 or more covers will be required to pay a deposit fee to hold the reservation - see Terms below.
Group Booking T's & C's (7+)
An extensive number of 'no-shows' and last-minute cancellations has reluctantly forced our hand to apply specific terms and conditions to all group bookings of 7 or more covers.
Parties of 7 or more covers will be required to pay a deposit fee to hold the reservation. The deposit fee amount is £10.00 per person. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any booking that is cancelled, or if numbers are reduced, without a minimum of 3 days prior notice. For all bookings you must notify us in writing of a cancellation or any changes to the number of guests at least 3 days (72 hours) prior to your booking date & time, to the email address: dining@themousetrapinn.co.uk. If the booking is not honoured or is cancelled with less than 3 days-notice, a cancellation fee of £10.00 per person applies and will be deducted from the deposit fee. By submitting a booking request, you accept these terms and conditions in full; accordingly, if you disagree, you must not use our table booking service. These terms and conditions are strictly non-negotiable, and we reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.
Parties of 10+ may be requested to place a pre-order in advance.
How we work
We are able to seat a specific number of guests during service but we are only able to accommodate so many guests within a 90 minute booking window in order to ensure that you receive the best level of service from us.
As such, we respectfully ask that you are ready to be seated at the time of your reservation.
Should you arrive more than 15 minutes after your booking time, we may need to hold you back to a later time to ensure the best possible level of service to all our guests.
Should you arrive more than 30 minutes after your booking time without forewarning, then you may lose your table to another group.
It is essential that we are notified of any specific dietary requirements prior to your visit to ensure that we can cater for you appropriately. If you have not informed us at the point of booking, please contact the restaurant to discuss your requirements with a member of our team.
Tables are allocated on the day by the restaurant team and although we will do everything we reasonably can to allocate a table in your preferred area of the dining room, we cannot always guarantee this.
Table time allocation is a maximum of 1 hour 45 minutes.
We take reservations for indoors only. Outdoor tables are allocated on the day of the booking, weather permitting.
